The sun is shining and so is the cultural network of Wyoming!

We continue to be inspired by our Culture Grows General Operating Support Grantees, and are so pleased to share with you the work of Johnson County Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum who is using their grant to support the collaborative Smithsonian affiliated exhibition, Many Voices, One Nation of Johnson County, Wyoming and complimentary public programming. The Culture Grows Cohort is moving through the year together, meeting regularly both formally and informally, sharing events and programs, and always evaluating opportunities for partnership, collaboration, and mentorship.

Mark your calendars for WyoGives Day, July 15th! Not only are we hoping to see your support that day, we ask that you consider donating to your favorite cultural organization in your community, or one of Wyoming Humanities’ Culture Grows Grantee organizations!

In less than ten days, we will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence! Wyoming Humanities with Wyoming PBS and Caldera Productions invite you to join us for the premiere screening of the new short documentary, Before Wyoming: The West in 1776. See you on Friday, July 3rd in Cheyenne!

Wyoming Center for the Book is working with our 2026 Great Reads from Great Places authors, Yamile Saied Méndez and Nina McConigley, for collaborative programming around each of their respective books that will represent Wyoming’s spirit at the National Book Festival on August 22nd in Washington, DC. For your chance to win a free copy of one our Great Reads from Great Places selections, check out our Pronghorn Reads program!

We are so grateful for your readership, your support, your love of the humanities. We hope that together we can keep going, keep growing, and doing more of what makes life worth living – celebrating our humanity, culture, history, and future.

To our friends across the state and nation – thank you for everything,

Wyoming Humanities is an independent 501(c)3 charitable organization that is governed by a board of private Wyoming citizens who believe the humanities can help us better understand the issues of our times. Since our inception in 1970, Wyoming Humanities has invested in the cultural infrastructure of our state by supporting the institutions, traditions, and conversations that keep our shared heritage alive. Join us in exploring the stories and ideas that shape who we are. Become a steward of Wyoming’s culture by donating today.
