Springtime.

We continue to celebrate our Culture Grows General Operating Support Grantees! All of the Culture Grows grantees are moving through the year together, meeting regularly both formally and informally, sharing events and programs, and always evaluating opportunities for partnership, collaboration, and mentorship. We are pleased to share the work of the Sweetwater County Historical Museum and Foundation this month!

It is such a busy time of year, but we are grateful to be where we are. Just over one year ago our federal funding was turned off overnight, with no warning or review process. It was a shock to our small nonprofit, where 80% of our operations were funded with these federal dollars. The Wyoming Humanities Board of Directors acted swiftly, thoughtfully, and with the future of the organization in mind. Private donations, prayers, and good strategy are what have kept our doors open since then. While we are still in limbo, we are more committed than ever before to serving our mission: inviting Wyoming to explore the stories and ideas that shape us as people, communities, and Wyomingites.

Thank you for joining us,
