We are feeling lucky this month!

March begins the celebration of Culture Grows General Operating Support Grantees! Between now and December we will feature either one or two of our Culture Grows grantees in our newsletters, social media, and on our website, spotlighting the work they have done and the future ahead. All of the Culture Grows grantees are moving through the year together, meeting regularly both formally and informally, sharing events and programs, and always evaluating opportunities for partnership, collaboration, and mentorship. We are pleased to share the work of Arts & Humanities|Trapper Creek Workshop & Lecture Series this month!

And follow us on social media this month as we highlight and celebrate Women’s History Month in Wyoming. We all know there are hundreds of stories to share about phenomenal women throughout Wyoming’s history, but what about the women in your life? Do you know their story? Do you know their connection to this place we call home?

And speaking of home, Wyoming Humanities is so excited to present a panel discussion for the upcoming documentary film, Before Wyoming: The West in 1776, at the University of Wyoming Humanities Summit later this month. The Summit is brimming with humanities talent, focused on the founding of America 250 years ago. Be sure to drop in if you happen to be in Laramie, more info below!

Remember to order your copy of Tribal Government: Wind River Reservation written by Janet Flynn, with contributor A.W. Baldwin. First published in the 1990s and long relied upon by teachers, students, and community members, this new 2025 edition is updated to reflect major developments over the past three decades. Thanks to a grant from the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund, Wyoming Humanities is sending three copies to each high school, ensuring access to this text for our government and history learners across the state.

We are here. We are moving in new directions with fewer resources than ever before. What an exciting, albeit precarious, time. Thank you for supporting our journey!

Until next time,

Chloé & Olivia
