Wyoming – October 15, 2025 – Wyoming Humanities announces a new grant line, the Culture Grows Grant to better explore the stories and ideas that shape our communities. This grant is a general operating support grant available to eligible humanities-based organizations in all twenty-three Wyoming counties. Through the Culture Grows Grant educational institutions, local and tribal government agencies, and nonprofit organizations can request up to $10,000 in General Operating Support. Ten awards are available and applications are currently open. Grant applications are due December 15, 2025.
Organizations that are awarded a Culture Grows Grant will join the other grantees in 2026 cohort that will meet regularly throughout the calendar year to cross-promote each other’s work and find new ways to partner. “Culture grows in Wyoming, and we know the value of general operating support for Wyoming’s cultural institutions. We want to support those organizations responsible for keeping stories and ideas at the forefront of our shared future,” says Wyoming Humanities executive director Chloé Flagg.

Wyoming Humanities is the state’s affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities and an independent 501(c)3 non-profit governed by a board of private citizens who believe the humanities can help us better understand the issues of our times. Founded in 1970, we are one of 56 state and jurisdictional humanities councils. Wyoming was one of the first states to implement this independent nonprofit model to provide public humanities programs for our citizens.
