Changes coming to Wyoming Humanities Grants and Discussion Programs in 2018

Attention current and future Wyoming Humanities grantees! Wyoming Humanities will soon be changing our granting process.

In 2018, Wyoming Humanities will pair a re-engineered and re-focused grant offering with the implementation of Foundant, an online grant application and life-cycle management tool. Foundant is in use in more than a dozen state humanities councils and a multitude of other grant and scholarship offering organizations. Their proven system will bring Wyoming Humanities up-to-date by limiting the amount of paperwork, signatures, and emails required over the life cycle of the grant process.

Moving to an online system will make the process more streamlined for both applicants and staff. The website will allow you to fill out applications and final reports online and, by logging into your account, clearly see where your application is in the process and what forms you still need to fill out. Forms also save automatically, so there’s no chance of losing your work. Rather than sending a number of emails over the course of the application and reporting process, applicants will instead only need to visit one website to manage Wyoming Humanities grants.

We know there will be many questions, and we are planning for all contingencies and will have training sessions available online and around the state over the coming year. Our goal is increase our service to you and the state through a more modern and expedited process that will keep you clearly informed about the requirements, applications status, and reporting needs for all of our grants.

Keep an eye on this newsletter and our website for more information about the system as well as updated descriptions of our grant lines. More details are coming soon!
